Business unit information Water Resources and Water Services (WR&WS) together manage the quality and delivery of Calgary's water supply - from the river, to our taps and back to the river. We protect public health by ensuring a clean and reliable supply of water and by treating wastewater. We also manage storm water drainage, respond to floods and contribute to the conservation of our precious water supply. We're proud of the high standards we uphold. You will play a significant role in ensuring that Calgary's environment is protected for current and future generations. Responsibilities Reporting to the Leader of Operational Performance, Wastewater Treatment, this position provides engineering expertise to support Wastewater Treatment (WWT) operations, plant optimization, risk mitigation strategies, and develops and reports plant and business performance measures. Primary duties include:

? Monitoring plant processes and supporting the meeting of regulatory compliance. ? Identifying, analyzing and developing plans for improvement initiatives. ? Project managing of operational projects and programs, and developing schedule, budgets and deliverables. ? Helping prepare operating budgets and assisting in expenditure analysis. ? Developing and reporting on plant and business performance measures and implementing ongoing improvements to advance the business. ? Communicating closely and co-ordinating with operations staff and with Water Quality Services.
